Kia Picanto rebrand to Columbian Dyip

New name, new fortunes?

It won’t be the Kia Picanto anymore, as the Columbian Autocar Corporation-owned PBA franchise has rebranded to Columbian Dyip for the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup, as per the partial schedule released by the league on Tuesday.

This is now the franchise’s sixth rebranding ever since setting foot in the league in 2014.

They debuted as the Kia Sorento, then became Kia Carnival, Mahindra Enforcer, Mahindra Floodbuster, and Kia Picanto.

All eyes will now be on the Columbian Dyip if this renaming will bring in luck and lead to wins, as Kia only went 1-10 in the 2018 Philippine Cup.

They will make their debut on April 22 against the Blackwater Elite at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Columbian Dyip will parade 27-year-old CJ Aiken as their foreign reinforcement.

The 2018 Commissioner’s Cup will tip off on April 22.
