Kevin Belingon, Denice Zamboanga top challengers in divisions as ONE releases official rankings

ONE Championship revealed its first official rankings in mixed martial arts, kickboxing, and Muay Thai, allowing fans to see where their favorite athletes stand in their respective divisions.

The rankings will be updated by ONE’s panel of industry experts, and the athletes will be rated by their most recent performances and the quality of competition.

Results will be published on ONEFC.com and the ONE Super App.

“It is with great excitement that I announce the inaugural ONE Championship official rankings,” ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong said.

“The rankings will bring more clarity and transparency for our athletes as they chase their dreams for a World Championship title. Fans can also follow their favorite athletes and their journeys more closely as they climb or fall in the rankings.”

As expected, Filipinos dominate the strawweight division, which is ruled by Team Lakay’s Joshua “The Passion” Pacio.

After Pacio are four people that he previously beat: Yosuke “The Ninja” Saruta (1), Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito (2), compatriot Rene “The Challenger” Catalan and Alex “Little Rock” Silva (4).

Rounding up the division is Pacio’s teammate Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang, who ranked number five.

Pacio’s best friend and teammate Danny “The King” Kingad currently sits at number two of the flyweight rankings, which is home to World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes.

ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix winner Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson sits at number one in the division, while trailing Kingad is Kairat “The Kazakh” Akhmetov (3), Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu (4), and Fil-Aussie Reece “Lightning” McLaren (5).

Former ONE Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer’ Belingon is still the top-rated bantamweight after his dominant rival Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, who is still the division’s king.

Shoko Sato (2), Yusup Saadulaev (3), Shuya “Stealth” Kamikubo (4), and Daichi Takenaka (5) trail Belingon and Fernandes in the division that they have ruled since ONE’s early years.

To close it out, Denice “The Manace Fairtex” Zamboanga has cemented her place as the top contender for Angela Lee’s ONE Women’s Atomweight Championship.

Compatriot Gina Iniong sits at five in the division, behind Meng Bo (2), Lin Heqin (3), and Mei Yamaguchi (4).
