Carino plays just four min as Aomori flattened by Fukuoka in B.League

Coming off a gallant stand yesterday, Aomori could not sustain it, suffering a 60-91 demolition at the hands of Fukuoka in the 2021-22 B.League Division II season, Monday at Aomori Prefecture Martial Arts Hall.

Taking a 17-14 lead in the first quarter, the Wat’s were bamboozled in the second half. Stedmon Lemon almost single-handedly outscored the entire Aomori team. Lemon had 11 points during the span, while Aomori only had 12 points, which led to a 35-29 deficit at the half.

A horrid third quarter saw Aomori only put up 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting. That extended the Rizing Zephyr’s lead to 62-39 heading into the final frame.

The Fukuoka lead went to as high as 31 points, 83-52, after a Lemon basket with 3:21 remaining.

Fukuoka went up to 14-15, while dropping Aomori to a league-worst 2-27 record.

Lemon had a monster outing, dropping 33 points on 15-of-18 shooting from the field with nine rebounds and five assists.

Taishei Shirato added 18 points built on four treys while Gerald Beverly got 10 points and eight rebounds.

Renaldo Dixon and Hayate Komosawa were the only double-digit scorers for Aomori. The former had 17 points and eight rebounds, while the latter finished with 15 points.

Kemark Carino only played four minutes in the game, scoring two points while grabbing four rebounds.

Aomori heads to Kumamoto this weekend to face the Volters.
