KBL: RJ Abarrientos lifts Ulsan Hyundai to Cup Final


RJ Abarrientos caught fire for Ulsan Hyundai Mobis, lifting his side to a thrilling 82-78 win over Justin Gutang and Changwon LG in the KBL Cup semis, Friday at Tongyeong Gym.

The former FEU Tamaraw got 17 points on four treys with three rebounds and two assists.

Leading the way for the Phoebus was Gaige Prim, who had 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Ham Jihoon and Lee Woosuk also added 14 and 13 points, respectively, as Ulsan moved to the finale of the cup tournament.

Abarrientos and Ulsan will next face Suwon KT in the final as the latter defeated Goyang in the other bracket.

Justin Gutang went scoreless in six minutes for Changwon LG.

Egyptian big man Assem Marei led the Sakers with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Su Seomin also got 14 markers.
