Justin Gutang only played six minutes during Changwon LG’s 106-79 win over Sangmu in the 2022 KBL Cup, Saturday at Tongyeong Gymnasium.
Gutang was saddled with fouls to start the game, committing three fouls in the first half.
He could not find his groove late, only finishing with two rebounds.
Still, it was a dominant win for the Sakers against the Korean army’s team.
Already leading 50-41 at the half, the team of Cho Sanghyun pushed the pedal in the third canto, scoring 30 points to gain an imposing 80-58 lead entering the final frame.
Six LG players scored in double-figures with Lee Jaedo leading the way with 19 points on a perfect 5-of-5 clip from downtown. Egyptian Assem Marei also got 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds while Dante Cunningham added 12 points.
Lee Seungwoo and Lee Gwanhee got 14 and 11 points, respectively as well.
Heo Hoon paced the Sangmu with 22 points.
LG will close its Group C campaign against Anyang KGC on Monday.
