RJ Abarrientos and Ulsan Hyundai Mobis could not sustain the momentum they gained on Sunday, falling to Goyang in Game 2 of the best-of-five 2023 KBL quarterfinals, 86-79, Tuesday at Ulsan Dongchun Gymnasium.
The Phoebus were coming off an 86-71 Game 1 win in the series that will see the winner take on Rhenz Abando and Anyang KGC in the semis.
The series will now head to Goyang Gymnasium for games three and four on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
Abarrientos fired 16 points in the contest but he shot just 6-of-14 from the field. He also got six assists and two rebounds.
Seo Myeongjin also scored 16 points while grabbing seven rebounds while Gaige Prim tallied 14 points and 16 boards.
However, the Carrot Jumpers duo of Lee Junghyun and Dedric Lawson were not to be denied in this contest.
Lee scored a game-high 34 points on four treys while Lawson produced 23 points with 16 boards.
