KBL: Abando provides highlight block, but Anyang KGC streak snapped


Rhenz Abando and Anyang KGC saw their four-game winning streak in the 2022-23 KBL Season snapped by Seoul Samsung, falling 60-67, Thursday at Anyang Indoor Gymnasium.

Abando provided a highlight play in the contest. At the 7:22 mark of the second quarter, Abando chased down a Shin Donghyuk breakaway and swatted it away.

However, Abando only played nine minutes, finishing with just a steal and a block.

Lee Junghyun led the Thunders to victory, scoring 17 points.

Marcus Derrickson got 15 points and six rebounds while Emanuel Terry added 10 points and 10 boards.

Christian David has yet to be fielded by the Thunders this season.

Seoul Samsung rose to 6-4 while handing Anyang KGC its second loss in 10 games.

Byeon Junhyeong was the high point man for Anyang KGC with 13 points while Jeong Junwon added 10 markers.
