Kaya hits UP for 11 as Stallion held scoreless by Makati in PFFWL

Kaya-Iloilo made the biggest statement of Week 5 in the 2025 PFF Women’s League, steamrolling University of the Philippines with an emphatic 11-0 victory, while league leader Stallion Laguna were held to a goalless draw by a gritty Makati side at the SM Mall of Asia Football Pitch.

Kaya-Iloilo delivered a clinic, dismantling UP with a barrage of goals from all over the pitch.

Julissa Cisneros led the charge with a hat-trick (40′, 64′, 81′), while Dionesa Tolentin (20′, 55′) and Julia Humphreys (28′, 42′) each netted a brace.

Hali Long (38′), Sara Castañeda (49′), Maegan Alforque (70′), and Camille Rodriguez (90+2′) also found the back of the net to complete the rout.

Meanwhile, Stallion Laguna entered the weekend aiming to tighten their grip on the top spot.

However, a heroic performance by Makati goalkeeper Ayishatu Simpson and a rock-solid debut from defender Janae DeFazio disrupted their rhythm and left them settling for a single point.

Despite numerous set-piece opportunities, Stallion failed to break through.

The momentum gradually swung toward Makati in the second half, and the young squad nearly pulled off a stunning upset — if not for Stallion keeper Olivia McDaniel’s clutch save late in the game.

The goalless stalemate kept Stallion Laguna atop the table with 10 points but left the door open for challengers as the season heats up.

The league resumes Saturday, May 3, with two marquee clashes: Capital1 Solar Strikers battle Makati at 4:30 PM, followed by a potential top-of-the-table showdown between Stallion Laguna and Kaya-Iloilo at 7:00 PM, both at the same venue.
