KarlTzy reveals why he has yet to utilize Demon Slayer this season

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno is now the only jungler who has yet to use the Demon Slayer talent of the Jungle emblem this MPL Philippines Season Nine.

And on Sunday night, the M2 World Championship MVP finally revealed the reason why.

Speaking after ECHO’s 2-0 domination of Blacklist International, KarlTzy said that the Killing Spree talent from the Assassin emblem fits his aggressive playstyle unlike the Demon Slayer — which forces junglers to spend more time in the jungle due to its increased damage against jungle monsters.

Aside from the personal fit, the Killing Spree talent is also a great fit to ECHO’s uber-aggressive playing style which thrives on initiating clashes after clashes.

“Gusto ko po kasi bakbakan yung laban e,” KarlTzy said during the post-match interview. “Bagay po sa playstyle ko talaga yung pumapatay.

“Yung mga nag de-Demon Slayer ngayon siguro kasi ano e, more on objectives yung gusto nila. Parang hindi sila kuma-clash masyado e samin talagang kung ka-clash kami, mag ka-clash talaga kami.”

KarlTzy also revealed that he has already tried the famous Jungle emblem during scrimmages. However, the extra damage from the Killing Spree proved to be more valuable to the MPL Philippines Season Six titlist.

“Tina-try ko po yun sa mga scrim kaso ang hirap po parang bitin sa damage,” said KarlTzy.

KarlTzy was on a roll against Blacklist International, finishing with four kills and six assists without a single death in the 16-4 Game One win before putting up monster numbers of 10 kills and 10 assists in the dominant 25-5 Game Two victory.
