ECHO’s Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno wished his rival Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol good luck on his upcoming journey with ONIC Esports in MPL Indonesia, Monday afternoon.
“Sana maging okay siya doon,” KarlTzy told Tiebreaker Times.
“Siguro siya yung pinakamalakas doon sa Indo tapos may kasama pa siyang coach so okay sa kanila yun.”
Just a few hours ago, Kairi was officially welcomed by ONIC Esports along with coach Denver “Yeb” Miranda in a press conference streamed on Youtube.
Asked about his thoughts regarding his rival’s move, KarlTzy lauded Kairi’s brave decision to head overseas and continue his career there – something that he opted not to do a couple of years back.
“Okay siya, nasa kanya naman yung desisyon e. Kasi yung mga desisyon na ganyan, isang ano mo lang ang daming pwedeng mangyari,” said the former Bren Esports star, who traded tirades with the ex-ONIC PH jungler in the past seasons.
“Bago pa po kami nag-champion, nag offer sila sa akin after Season Five,” he added.
Shortly after a bronze finish in the MPL Philippines Season Five, KarlTzy was lured by ONIC Esports in the off-season.
The former M2 MVP, though, quickly turned down the offer after feeling that it might not be worth it. He eventually won the MPL Philippines Season Six title and the M2 World Championship in the following season.
“Parang feeling ko lang hindi worth it doon sa Indo, nasa isip ko mas okay dito kasi kasama ko yung pamilya ko, yung girlfriend ko. Kung nag Indo po ako noon, baka hindi ako nag M2 champion,” he explained.
With Kairi set to reinforce a stacked ONIC Esports squad, KarlTzy is already anticipating the next chapter of their thrilling rivalry.
“Good luck sa’yo diyan Kairi. Durugin mo si Alberttt. Feeling ko magkikita kami sa M4, kung sakaling magkatapat tayo galingan nating pareho.”
