KarlTzy offers rare praise for rookie Malik

Bren Esports superstar Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno rarely praises another player on air.

But on Friday night, the straight-forward jungler gave his stamp of approval to Bren Esports rookie Muj “Malik” Malik, who played a pivotal role in the team’s first-ever victory in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Eight.

“Baka kiligin e, baka lumaki ulo,” quipped the M2 World Championships MVP when asked about Malik’s debut in Bren Esports’ post-match press conference.

The 17-year-old then praised the neophyte for his aggressiveness in the 2-0 win against Omega Esports — their first victory in four tries.

It can also be recalled that KarlTzy really, really thrives well with aggressive side laners thus, the birth of the Tzy brothers – the tandem that brought Bren Esports to the MPL Philippines Season Six championship and eventually, the M2 World Championship.MPL-PH-8-Bren-def-Omega-Malik KarlTzy offers rare praise for rookie Malik ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

“‘De, maganda naman yung laro niya, ganiyan yung gusto kong gold laner eh yung duma-dive talaga,” said the one-time MPL champion.

“Nakakasabay sa aggressiveness ko.”

For Bren Esports coach Francis “Duckeyyy” Glindro, the 17-year-old pride of Cotabato City still has a lot of things to improve on.

“Marami pa siyang puwede iimprove, ayun, nasabi naman na namin siguro bukas na kami mag uusap about sa mga puwede pa naming gawin moving forward,” said the world champion coach.

Malik posted an immaculate 2-0-7 slate in the Game One win before ending the series with four kills, two deaths, and two assists playing Alice both times.

Bren Esports (1-3), who is tied with RSG PH (2-2) at the last spot with four points each, will take on defending champion Blacklist International tomorrow at 8:00 PM.
