Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno of Bren Esports is in contention for the prestigious Mobile Player of the Year award in the 2021 Esports Awards, Friday.
KarlTzy will be going up against some of the top mobile esports players in the world for the award.
Also nominated are Zhu “paraboy” Bocheng of Nova Esports (PUBGM), Mohamed “Mohamed Light” Tarek of LA Gaming (Clash Royale), Mustafa “SkYRiiKZz” Ibrahim of SK Gaming (Brawl Stars), and Piyapon “TheCruz” Boonchuay of EVOS Esports TH (Free Fire).

Completing the cast are NYSL Mayhem’s Brian “Tectonic” Michel (CODM), ChasMacGaming’s LucasXGamer (Clash Royale), TeamIND’s Jash “Learn” Shah (CODM), Fluxo’s Gabriel “Syaz” Vasconcelo (Free Fire), and LOUD’s Cauan “Cauan7” da Silva (Free Fire).
KarlTzy was nothing but dominant at the beginning of 2021, leading Bren Esports to the M2 World Championship after taking out surprise contender Burmese Ghouls via a nail-biting 4-3 decision.
During the Worlds, the 17-year-old pride of Antipolo was named the MVP of the group stage and later on, the finals.
Made Bagas “Zuxxy” Pramudita of Bigetron Alpha’s PUBG Mobile team won the first-ever Esports Mobile Player of the Year last year.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is also nominated in the Esports Mobile Game of the Year category along with League of Legends: Wild Rift, Free Fire, Call of Duty Mobile, Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, and Brawl Stars.
