KarlTzy dazzles anew as BREN outlasts Cignal in MPL-PH 7

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s mechanical skills were in full display in Game Three as he secured a couple of lords to power BREN Esports’ 2-1 victory over Cignal Ultra in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines Season Seven regular season, Saturday evening.

This is BREN Esports’ second-straight win after dropping its first three games of the season.

BREN Esports brought out something new in the opener with KarlTzy unleashing an unorthodox Alpha jungler in the 16-8 Game One win.

The 17-year-old core player finished with six kills and two assists against three deaths in the match that lasted for 13 minutes and eight seconds.

BREN gold laner CJ “Ribo” Ribo, meanwhile, won the Smart MVP award with a game-high 11 assists along with two kills.MPL-PH-7-BREN-def-Cignal-Game-1 KarlTzy dazzles anew as BREN outlasts Cignal in MPL-PH 7 ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

Cignal then weathered KarlTzy’s monster Granger performance and Ribo’s late lord steal in Game Two to send the series to a winner-take-all Game Three.

Despite losing the lord to BREN at the 19:55-mark, Cignal Ultra managed to complete a four-man wipe to end the match.

Arvie “Aquaboy” Calderon was named the Smart MVP with four kills and 11 assists against just two deaths playing Pharsa.MPL-PH-7-BREN-def-Cignal-Game-2 KarlTzy dazzles anew as BREN outlasts Cignal in MPL-PH 7 ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

KarlTzy’s retribution was on point in Game Three as his Alpha managed to snatch a couple of lords to help BREN Esports topple down Cignal’s late-game composition.

But just like the opener, it was Ribo who took home the Smart MVP award with four kills and three assists without a death playing Chang’e in the 9-8, 21:48-minute Game Three.MPL-PH-7-BREN-def-Cignal-Game-3 KarlTzy dazzles anew as BREN outlasts Cignal in MPL-PH 7 ESports Mobile Legends MPL-PH News - philippine sports news

The win puts BREN Esports at third place in Group A with six points through a 2-3 win-loss standing.
