Karl goes perfect as T1 deals TNC first loss in DPC

After a roller coaster start, T1 finally showed its true potential after handing TNC its first loss of the season via a 2-1 reverse sweep in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season Two-Southeast Asia upper division, Saturday evening.

Filipino midlaner Karl “Karl” Jayme (Storm Spirit) went perfect in Game Three, finishing with seven kills and six assists without a death to lead the South Korean squad to a 16-12 win in just 44 minutes and a second.

Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon’s Medusa also played without a single death in the decider. The Indonesian carry finished with two kills and 10 assists along with a game-high 34,259 net worth and 32,168 damage dealt.

Kenny “Xepher” Deo’s Enchantress put up a game-high 11 assists along with two kills and three deaths while Carlo “Kuku” Palad’s Timbersaw had four kills, five deaths, and six assists.

On the other hand, TNC carry Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte’s Obsidian Destroyer finished with six kills, five deaths, and three assists, while Armel “Armel” Tabios’ Beastmaster was held to just two kills, two deaths, and two assists.

TNC, after Gabbi was taken down during T1’s siege, immediately called GG.

With Gabbi’s Bristleback and Armel’s Beastmaster spearheading the offense, TNC manhandled T1 to start the series via a 26-9 victory. But T1 managed to return the favor as 23savage went ham with his Phantom Assassin to tie the series at 1-all.

T1 is now tied with Smart Omega Esports at the fourth spot with identical 2-2 records while TNC remained at the top spot with a 3-1 card.

The South Korean squad will next face Execration on May 8, Saturday, while TNC looks to bounce back against BOOM Esports on May 5, Wednesday.
