The NCAA Seniors Basketball Group A matchup between José Rizal University and San Beda University will restart on Saturday, September 26, at 3:00 p.m. at the Filoil Centre in San Juan City.
The game, originally scheduled for September 18, was postponed due to unsafe playing conditions caused by condensation on the court following a leak in the arena’s roof.
Play was halted with 5:25 remaining in the opening period and did not resume after nearly an hour of stoppage, prompting the NCAA to postpone the contest.
JRU had taken an early 9-3 lead before the game was called off, with Zed Etulle opening the scoring with a three-pointer while Lawrence Mangubat and Chris Hubilla helped the Heavy Bombers gain control.
However, none of that action will carry over when the teams meet again, as the game will restart from 0-0 on Saturday.
Tickets dated September 18 for the JRU-San Beda matchup will be honored for the rescheduled game, with no exchange or revalidation required.
