Jolina Dela Cruz has decided to take the right route concerning the treatment of her injury.
Four days after signing with Farm Fresh, the 24-year-old spiker out of De La Salle University had successful surgery on a partial anterior cruciate ligament injury in her right knee.
“Surgery was a success! Now, let’s get this recovery started,” Dela Cruz’s post read.
Last November 30, Dela Cruz suffered an injury on a dig attempt in the second set of F2 Logistics’ clash against PLDT.
The Foxies were aware of the injury but still pursued her in free agency, knowing the capabilities of the All-UAAP Season 85 team member.
“We are aware that she can’t play yet because of her previous injury from last conference but, honestly, believer ako sa talent and passion ni Jolina for the sport. Even si Boss Frank (Lao), believes this and pursued her kaya nakita siguro ni Jolina how genuine we are in our intentions,” said Foxies team manager Kiara Cruz.
“We are very confident that she’ll regain her form and become a better athlete after this. Rest assured, we will all be behind her in her recovery.”
Recovery usually takes nine months.
Also signed by the revamped Farm Fresh team are Caitlyn Viray, Elaine Kasilag, Chinnie Arroyo, Jaycel Delos Reyes, Julia Angeles, Anj Legacion, and rookies Ypril Tapia and Janel Delerio.
They join holdovers Trisha Tubu, Kate Santiago, Alyssa Bertolano, Louie Romero, and Pia Ildefonso.
