John Lineker ready for Kevin Belingon’s hard-hitting style

John “Hands Of Stone” Lineker believes he has done everything he can to prepare for his biggest match in ONE Championship.

The fifth-ranked contender takes on former ONE Bantamweight World Champion Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon in what could be a memorable main event at the previously-recorded ONE: Inside The Matrix III, which airs this Friday, November 13.

Lineker described his preparation for Belingon as one of his most fruitful, and he has no doubts it will reflect in their clash at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“I’m feeling great,” Lineker said. “I’m getting ready for my next bout and my intent is to become a World Champion in ONE Championship.

“My preparation for Belingon has been one of the best preparations I’ve had so far in my career. I believe I am going to be able to show what I came for, and that is to become a champion in ONE Championship.”

The American Top Team standout was impressed when scouting the Filipino warrior, praising Belingon’s mobility and ability to change gears in a snap. But Lineker is confident that in the clash of styles, his style will prevail.

“I studied a lot of his videos. He seems to be a very versatile opponent. He likes to keep punching, he moves very well, and I think he’s going to look for the exchanges,” Lineker said.

“This is his style, just like mine — I’m going to look for the knockout in this fight, I know I can get the best from these exchanges.”

Though he praised his opponent, at the end of the day, it is still a competition. And Lineker feels confident that he’ll leave the Singapore Indoor Stadium as the victor.

“He’s definitely one of the toughest (opponents I’ll face). He’s a really tough opponent. I think he’s going to face me, and I am ready to go face him,” he said.

“I don’t think he can stop me. I am ready for him.”

He might even leave Singapore with a few converts, too.

“After our fight, maybe I can get some fans from the Philippines because of my performance,” Lineker said.

“I ask all of you to watch the fight. I hope everyone enjoys the match, and I hope you guys can follow me in my career in ONE Championship.”

Catch the previously recorded ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III this Friday, November 13, on One Sports and One Sports+ or stream it for free by downloading the ONE Super App.

Also, TV5 will air the event on a next-day delay at 11 p.m. PHT on Saturday, November 14.
