Jho Maraguinot leads new-look BaliPure

Jho Maraguinot will be suiting up for BaliPure in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League season.

One of the top free agents in the market had been looking for a home after Perlas took a leave of absence from the league, Maraguinot is expected to lead the Purest Water Defenders as it looks to top its 3-6 finish from last season’s Open Conference.

There will be seven more new faces for BaliPure.

Another Atenean in Jamie Lavitoria also signed with the team after being released by Choco Mucho.

Also set for homecomings are former PLDT libero Alyssa Eroa and Janine Marciano.

Eroa played for BaliPure back in the 2017 season of the league. Now, the 5-foot libero out of San Sebastian will fill the shoes left by rising libero Julia Angeles, who transferred to Chery Tiggo.

Marciano, meanwhile, was part of BaliPure during the Shakey’s V-League’s 2016 Open Conference.

Rounding up the new faces for BaliPure are Marian Buitre and Patty Orendain.

“It’s a balanced team compared to last year,” said BaliPure team manager Gil Cortez. “Last year, our offense revolved around Graze [Bombita], [Bern] Flora, and Gyra [Barroga].”
