Jerom Lastimosa is not shutting down his senior year with Adamson University just yet.
The 24-year-old guard out of Dumaguete confirmed to Tiebreaker Times that he is eyeing a return during the last week of the Soaring Falcons’ campaign in UAAP Season 85.
Particularly, he is eyeing to rejoin the team either when they face National University on the 26th or Ateneo de Manila University on the 30th.
“Maayos naman yung pag-heal ng bone bruise ko. Waiting na lang ako sa clearance ng doctor namin,” said Lastimosa, who suffered a dislocated big toe on his right foot during their game against University of the Philippines last November 2.
“Sa tingin ko, makakabalik ako either sa 26 or sa 30.”
Lastimosa averaged 17.0 points, 4.63 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.63 steals in eight games played.
However, Adamson has gone 1-1 without Lastimosa, defeating UST (56-55) and falling to La Salle (81-78).
The Soaring Falcons are currently 4-6, tied for fourth.
Adamson will not have Lastimosa for its games against University of the East on Sunday and against Far Eastern University on Wednesday.
And Lastimosa hopes that the likes of Cedrick Manzano, Joshua Yerro, Joem Sabandal, and Aaron Flowers continue to step up.
“Ituloy lang nila yung ginagawa nila para sa Adamson.”
