TNT suffered a huge blow in its ongoing 2021 PBA 3×3 campaign.
Prized recruit Jeremiah Gray has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation told Tiebreaker Times that two experts made the conclusion. The injury was also confirmed to Tiebreaker Times by team manager Gabby Cui.
The injury occurred last Saturday during TNT’s game against Limitless.
With 9:00 still left in the game, the 24-year-old Filipino-American went for a dunk but landed awkwardly.
He subbed out of the game afterward and did not return for the rest of the stop.
TNT did not make the playoffs of the third leg.
With this injury, Gray will miss the entire PBA 3×3 season as it will take six to nine months before he can completely recover. He had a total of 75 points in three legs played, accumulating 3,543 FIBA 3×3 points.
The Tropang Giga are currently holding tryouts for the fourth member of the team that will join Almond Vosotros, Samboy De Leon, and Lervin Flores.
TNT still has two slots available on its roster.
