Ishie Lalongisip commits long-term as Cignal welcomes three rookies

Cignal’s impressive offseason roll shows no signs of slowing down.

The HD Spikers have officially signed their two 2025 PVL draftees—Erin Pangilinan and Jessa Ordiales—along with undrafted libero Pearl Denura, while also locking in a long-term extension with recently crowned Rookie of the Conference, Ishie Lalongisip.

Pangilinan and Ordiales, selected 6th and 18th overall respectively, have put pen to paper to begin their professional careers with Cignal. The former NU Lady Bulldog and DLSU Lady Spiker are expected to suit up for the HD Spikers in the upcoming PVL On Tour, which kicks off in Ilocos this Sunday.

Denura, a former NU standout who went undrafted in the recent PVL Draft, has also secured a spot on the roster after impressing the coaching staff.

Meanwhile, Lalongisip, Cignal’s 7th overall pick in the 2024 PVL Draft, has committed her future to the team by signing a long-term deal.

The young outside hitter made a mark in the recent All-Filipino Conference, stepping up as a starter and helping Cignal finish third in the preliminary round.

“Masaya and excited ako sa team namin ngayon kahit may Alas Pilipinas duties sina Vanie (Gandler) and Dawn (Catindig),” said HD Spikers head coach Shaq Delos Santos.

“Good time to try out itong mga bata and new draftees namin sa PVL On Tour, and we’re confident to say na we want them to be here long-term and hopefully maging part ng aming long-coveted championship. Sana makuha namin eventually.”

Adding to the team’s developments, Cignal also announced a new partnership with JYL Atletica, which will serve as the official outfitter of the women’s team for jerseys, shorts, jackets, and other apparel.
