After a rough debut against Blacklist International, TNC is turning things around after winning its next two games in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Season Eight-Philippines.
And TNC head coach Laurence “Lift” Ruiz pointed the credit to his reserves, especially Douglas “ImbaDeejay” Astibe, who has been helping him craft the team’s game plan.
“Siguro ang pinagkaiba lang nung team ngayon sa dati, dumami lang yung utak dito sa team,” said Lift after TNC’s second consecutive win on Saturday.
“Napakalaking bagay po na nadagdag dito si ImbaDeejay, lalo na sa drafting.
“Saka mas disiplinado sila ngayon, lahat kami disiplinado ngayon,” he added.
TNC, after the loss to the defending champions, put on a dominant showing after sweeping Nexplay EVOS last Sunday and now, Bren Esports.
The team is currently at the third spot in the standings with six points through a 2-2 win-loss standing.
“Napakasarap po sa pakiramdam kasi the curse has been lifted na, kumbaga… sarap,” said Lift after the win against Bren Esports – a team that they haven’t beaten since they entered the league in the previous season.
Aside from ImbaDeejay, the team has also added veteran Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo, as well as rookies Landher “Der” San Gabriel and Ben “Benthings” Maglaque to its roster.
TNC looks to make it three-straight tomorrow against ONIC PH at 6:00 PM.
