IESF: Sibol ML dethrones Indonesia in world title clash

Sibol ML achieved a resounding victory by dethroning Indonesia with a come-from-behind 3-1 win in the grand finals of the IESF World Esports Championship in Iasi, Romania.

The squad, led by AP Bren, successfully avenged the grand finals loss suffered by their Blacklist International counterparts, who settled for a silver medal finish behind Indonesia during the 2022 staging of the global tournament.

Sibol easily rebounded from a Game 1 hiccup with a convincing victory in Game 2, requiring only 14 minutes to level the series score at 1-1.

The Filipinos then displayed their dominance against the Indonesians, securing an early 5-0 lead in the kill tally during Game 3, which they maintained throughout the match, resulting in a massive 25-5 domination in the kill score. They reached match point after almost 16 minutes of play.

The same narrative unfolded in Game 4 as Sibol scored six kills while conceding no deaths in the first 11 minutes, leading to a commanding championship victory.

Sibol ML is composed of Angelo Arcangel, David Canon, Marco Stephen Requitano, Michael Angelo Sayson, Rowgien Unigo from AP Bren, and Jan Amande from GameLab.
