Young golfers from Immaculate Conception Academy and Xavier School made their presence felt across multiple divisions after five rounds of action in the 2025 Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines Inter-School Tournament.
ICA, one of the fastest-rising girls’ golf programs in the country, continues to show its dominance.
The team currently leads Division 1 of the Lower School category, where it is the defending champion, while also taking command of the Middle School Division 3 and Junior High Division 3 leaderboards.
Xavier School, the reigning champion in the Junior High category, is likewise showcasing its depth and consistency.
The San Juan-based squad sits atop the standings in Junior High Divisions 1 and 3, while also leading in Lower School Division 3, Middle School Division 2, and Senior High Division 1.
Other schools that have impressed so far and are leading their respective categories include De La Salle Zobel in Lower School Division 2, Home School Global in Middle School Division 1, PAREF Southridge in Senior High Division 2, and Brent International School Manila 2 in Senior High Division 3.
JGFP president Oliver Gan shared that tournament organizers introduced tweaks to the format this year to make the competition more exciting and competitive.
“After the first five rounds, we categorized the schools by placing them into Divisions 1, 2, and 3. From there, they will continue to battle it out until the finals to determine the champions,” said Gan.
The next rounds of action are set for October 11 and 12, and will continue on October 19.
The tournament is being hosted by Summit Point Golf and Country Club in Lipa and The Vineyard Golf Club in Tanauan, Batangas.
