Ibaraki does not field Javi GDL vs Mikawa

Ibaraki opted to field just 11 men in their game against Mikawa in the sole game of Week Five of the 2021-22 B.League season, Wednesday at Wing Arena Kariya.

Javi Gomez de Liaño sat out his third game for the Robots.

Coach Richard Glesman is still breaking his Asian quota player in after seven weeks of no basketball action prior.

The 6-foot-5 winger out of University of the Philippines had been on the sidelines for six weeks, including two weeks of quarantine. He then joined Ibaraki late last week.

The 11 players for Ibaraki are Tenyoko You, Kohei Fukuzawa, Chehales Tapscott, Eric Jacobsen, Atsunobu Hirao, Asaha Tajima, Kohei Nakamura, Yuji Takahashi, Marc Trasolini, Keita Tsurumaki, and Daichi Tanaguchi.

Ibaraki lost the game, 71-81, to fall to 1-8.

Gomez de Liaño can make his debut on Saturday when Ibaraki faces B2 team Flying Eagles Nagoya in the opening round of the All-Japan Cup. Game time is at 6:00 PM (Manila time).
