Help is coming for the floundering San-En NeoPhoenix.
Thirdy Ravena is set to fly to Japan on Thursday, October 15.
The Ravena family confirmed this to Tiebreaker Times.
The arrival of the 6-foot-2 Asian import will be a big boost to San-En, who have dropped to 0-4 in the B.League.
On opening weekend, NeoPhoenix suffered back-to-back whippings at the hands of Chiba, 65-83 and 54-103.
Then just last weekend, San-En was able to keep close with Mikawa in the first game, absorbing a 63-55 defeat. But it was then routed the next day, 57-85.
The 23-year-old Ateneo product was supposed to leave for Japan last July but the Japanese embassy was closed. Ravena was only allowed to apply for a visa last October 2.
Ravena will make it in time for San-En’s back-to-back against Toyama.
