Ganuelas, Slaughter out of training pool; Lassiter expected to return

May 19, 2016
Countdown to Manila OQT: 47 days

Injuries have forced out Barangay Ginebra San Miguel big man Greg Slaughter and Tropang TNT wing man Matt Ganuelas-Rosser out of the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifiers.

Tab Baldwin broke to members of the press that wing man Rosser and Slaughter will both miss the rest of the nationals’ practices, both due to injuries.

The mentor said Ganuelas already underwent surgery, while Slaughter is also scheduled to go under the microscope.

“Matt’s had surgery. He is out of the pool,” Baldwin shared. “Greg also had a scan, he has some ligament issues in his ankle, he is slated for an orthoscopic surgery pretty soon and that will keep him out of the pool as well.”

Marcio Lassiter, who did not attend Wednesday’s session, is expected to be back soon.Gilas-practice-Lassiter_ Ganuelas, Slaughter out of training pool; Lassiter expected to return 2016 Manila OQT Basketball Gilas Pilipinas News Philippines - philippine sports news
