Galeries Tower will head into the 2026 Premier Volleyball League season with a revamped coaching staff, signaling a new direction for the franchise.
The Highrisers announced on Thursday night via social media the appointment of a new coaching staff, headlined by former Chery Tiggo assistant coach Clarence Esteban.
Esteban takes over from Godfrey Okumu, who himself replaced Lerma Giron prior to the season-ending Reinforced Conference last December.
The tactician last coached in the PVL during the 2022 season, when he guided the Crossovers to a semifinal finish in the import-laden conference.
Joining Esteban on the bench is former BaliPure head coach Rommel Abella, among others, as the group looks to lift Galeries Tower from a 12th-place finish in the 2025 Reinforced Conference.
The new staff faces a challenging task ahead, with the Highrisers parting ways with top scorers France Ronquillo and Ysa Jimenez, as well as veterans Fhen Emnas and Dimdim Pacres, during the offseason.
Still, Esteban and his staff will have pieces to build around, including third overall pick Jean Asis and Alas Pilipinas standout Julia Coronel.
