Galang, Baron tower over Marinerang Pilipina as F2 Logistics enters win column

Fresh from a stinging loss to arch-rivals Petron in their curtain-raiser last Saturday, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers dumped their frustrations on Marinerang Pilipina, 25-14, 25-17, 25-11, to enter the winner’s circle in the 2019 PSL Invitational Cup, Monday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

The defending champions continued to miss the services of prolific scorer Kalei Mau. Still, there was no shortage of power for the Cargo Movers, as the reliable troika of Ara Galang, Majoy Baron and Kim Kianna Dy delivered the goods in the match that lasted for 117 minutes.

Galang fired 17 points built on 14 attacks. She also fortified the wall of F2 Logistics with three kill blocks, helping out middle blocker Majoy Baron, who collected four rejections to go along with three aces for 12 points.

Dy made her presence felt through her airborne assault. She hammered down all of her 12 points from the attacking department.
