Fr. Rodel Cansancio appointed new IPEA head

Fr. Ermito De Sagon’s return as director of University of Santo Tomas’ Institute of Physical Education and Athletics was just for the interim.

The school has appointed Fr. Rodel Cansancio, OP as the new head of IPEA, Wednesday.

Fr. Cansancio was a regent in UST High School.

Fr. De Sagon took over the post after Fr. Jannel Abogado, OP resigned from his post in the wake of the Growling Tigers’ controversial training camp in Capuy, Sorsogon last August 26.

Fr. Abogado is also under investigation for his participation in allowing the bubble held by Aldin Ayo.

As head of IPEA, Fr. Cansancio will serve as the school’s representative to the UAAP’s Board of Managing Directors.
