The Foton Tornadoes advanced in the 2018 Chooks to Go-Philippine Superliga Invitational Cup classification phases after the University of the East-Cherrylume Iron Lady Warriors failed to arrive at the Imus Sports Center, Tuesday afternoon.
According to league organizers, the Lady Warriors were directly affected by the heavy rainfall in Metro Manila, making travelling to Imus unfeasible.
UE, like many universities in Metro Manila, cancelled classes and office operations early Tuesday morning.
Foton will face the winner of the Cocolife-UP tiff in a battle for seventh place.
