The rich just got a whole lot richer
26-year-old open spiker Fille Cainglet-Cayetano is set to make her return to professional volleyball in 2017 with the defending Shakey’s V-League Open Conference champions Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors. The contract between the two parties was signed Monday afternoon at Luna Cafe in Taguig City.
“We are very excited to formally welcome Fille to the Lady Dubs,” Pocari Sweat team manager Atty. Eric Ty said. “Her experience and her ability to impart her brand of professionalism will be a big boost to our young championship core.”
Cainglet-Cayetano will boost Pocari Sweat’s deep open position that is led by recently-renewed Myla Pablo.
“As an elite team we owe it to our fans not only to bring them the best players but also to showcase excellent role models for the younger generations that will carry Philippine volleyball in the coming years,” Ty added.
The former Ateneo Lady Eagle last played competitive volleyball with the Petron Blaze Spikers back in the 2015 PSL Grand Prix. She then took a leave from the game, giving birth to her second child in August of 2016.
With her wealth of experience, Cainglet-Cayetano will serve as an added leader to a team that already has Michele Gumabao, Melissa Gohing, and Pablo.
