Dzi Gervacio’s 2010 Ateneo V-League jersey added to Morado’s drive

Support from fellow volleyball athletes has been pouring on Jia Morado and beau Miguel de Guzman’s fundraising drive, Every Little Thing Counts, which aims to equip frontliners with personal protective equipment in the battle against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The new set of local spikers who have donated game-worn memorabilia to the cause are Dzi Gervacio, Michele Gumabao, Fille Cainglet-Cayetano, and Trisha Genesis.

Headlining the additions was Dzi Gervacio’s Ateneo Lady Eagles jersey from the 2010 Shakey’s V-League First Conference.

Meanwhile, Gumabao and Cainglet-Cayetano have entered their respective Creamline uniforms in the auction, adding up to a mounting list of Cool Smashers that did the same in Morado, Jema Galanza, Kyla Atienza, Pau Soriano, Melissa Gohing and Kyle Negrito.

Second-year Adamson standout Genesis, for her part, joined fellow Lady Falcons Louie Romero, Rizza Cruz, and Lorene Toring in putting their jerseys up for bidding.

In addition, Galanza, who already donated her long-sleeve Creamline jersey, has also sent her sleeveless one as well.

The starting bid of each jersey is at PHP 1,200. Those who want to participate in the auction can place their bids until April 10 at 12 noon.

As of April 3, 2020, the fundraiser has already breached the 500,000-pesos mark, helping out countless frontliners battling the pandemic.
