The hits just keep coming for De La Salle University Lady Spiker and current F2 Logistics Cargo Mover Kim Fajardo.
Fajardo has been named to the PSL-select team that will be joining the 2016 FIVB Women’s Club Championship Sunday afternoon at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
The announcement was made after F2 Logistics’ straight-set win over the Standard Insurance-Navy Lady Corvettes for its fifth straight win.
“Sobrang saya kasi last na international competition na sinalihan ko high school pa ako,” Fajardo reflected. “Gusto ko maka-experince ng ganito para matuto pa ako.”
“Lahat ng players ito ang pangarap. Ni-loolook forward ko talaga ito. Gagawin ko talaga yung best ko.”
Fajardo, 22, is a three-time UAAP gold medalist (2 indoor, 1 beach) and a three-time silver medalist (2 indoor, 1 beach). The 5’8 setter helped lead the Lady Spikers to its first beach volleyball crown in Season 78 and capped her year with indoor gold.
She is also a two-time UAAP Best Setter (Season 76, 78) and the Most Valuable Player in Season 78’s beach volleyball tournament.
The Calatagan, Batangas-native joins Rachel Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga in the PSL-select team. Four more Golden Tickets will be released in the upcoming weeks.
