Fajardo joins Team Philippines for 2016 FIVB Women’s CWC


The hits just keep coming for De La Salle University Lady Spiker and current F2 Logistics Cargo Mover Kim Fajardo.

Fajardo has been named to the PSL-select team that will be joining the 2016 FIVB Women’s Club Championship Sunday afternoon at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.

The announcement was made after F2 Logistics’ straight-set win over the Standard Insurance-Navy Lady Corvettes for its fifth straight win.

“Sobrang saya kasi last na international competition na sinalihan ko high school pa ako,” Fajardo reflected. “Gusto ko maka-experince ng ganito para matuto pa ako.”

“Lahat ng players ito ang pangarap. Ni-loolook forward ko talaga ito. Gagawin ko talaga yung best ko.”

Fajardo, 22, is a three-time UAAP gold medalist (2 indoor, 1 beach) and a three-time silver medalist (2 indoor, 1 beach). The 5’8 setter helped lead the Lady Spikers to its first beach volleyball crown in Season 78 and capped her year with indoor gold.

She is also a two-time UAAP Best Setter (Season 76, 78) and the Most Valuable Player in Season 78’s beach volleyball tournament.

The Calatagan, Batangas-native joins Rachel Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga in the PSL-select team. Four more Golden Tickets will be released in the upcoming weeks.
