Execration’s TI10 dream ends at hands of BOOM

Execration’s The International 10 hopes came to an end after suffering a 2-0 sweep at the hands of BOOM Esports in the fourth round of the Southeast Asia regional qualifiers lower bracket, Saturday.

BOOM Esports will have another crack at TNC Predator in the lower bracket finals as they fight for the right to face Fnatic for the lone TI slot in the regional qualifiers grand finals.

Execration was poised to secure Game One after securing Roshan and giving both the Aegis and the Cheese to Yuri “Yowe” Pacana’s (Templar Assassin). BOOM Esports, however, managed to pop Yowe’s Aegis and eventually, take him down.

Though Yowe quickly bought himself back to help Execration’s defense, the Indonesians were able to secure a kill on Jinn “Palos” Lamatao (Wraith King), whose buyback is currently on cooldown during the clash which keyed the win for BOOM Esports.

Dreamocel’s Luna led BOOM with nine kills, four deaths, and 10 assists while Saieful “Fbz” Ilham added two kills, three deaths, and 16 assists in the 26-22 Game One win which took 44 minutes and 23 seconds to end.

The Indonesians then weathered Yowe’s (Razor) early game exploits with Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman’s Templar Assassin taking over the match to lead BOOM Esports to a series-clinching 36-22 Game Two victory.

Mikoto dominated with 13 kills and 17 assists against just two deaths in the 35:22-minute match.

On the other hand, Yowe finished with nine kills, seven deaths, and six assists while Palos’ Spectre was held to just five kills, eight deaths, and seven assists in the loss.
