Execration pulled a huge upset in its debut, shutting down Filipino powerhouse TNC Predator via a 2-0 sweep in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 1 – Southeast Asia Upper Division, last Saturday.
A solid outing from Glenard “Rupido” Rugay’s Mars opened up a lot of opportunities for Execration in Game One. He finished with 14 kills and 22 assists against three deaths in the opening match victory that lasted for 39 minutes and 25 seconds.
Dave “Yowe” Pacaña’s Medusa, who provided a bulk of the damage for Execration, scored 14 kills and 15 assists along with three deaths while midlaner Argle “Ken” Llesis added nine kills, four deaths, and 16 assists using Batrider.
Execration tallied a total of 43 kills in the match while TNC Predator only had 19.
TNC carry Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte’s puck was held to just six kills, seven deaths, and nine assists while midlaner Armel “Armel” Tabios’ Slark had four kills, seven deaths, and seven assists.
Ken took the spotlight for Execration come Game Two, flaunting his top-notch initiation plays with Batrider just like in the opener.
The 17-year-old Ken finished the game with eight kills and 19 assists against two deaths. He also tallied a game-high 27.2k net worth through 628 gold per minute.
Carlo “BDz” Manalo’s Earth Spirit played the perfect second fiddle to Ken’s Batrider, finishing with a game-high 23 assists along with six kills and five deaths while Rupido ended up with 13 kills, three deaths, and 16 assists with his Dark Seer.
The troika of Ken, Carlo, and Rupido starred in Execration’s five-man wipe of TNC Predator at the 34:49-mark of the match.
Timothy “Tims” Randrup’s Mirana led TNC in Game Two with four kills, three deaths, and six assists.
Execration will next face Fnatic while TNC is looking to enter the win column at the expense of Vice Esports on January 27, Wednesday.
