Tokyo Olympics-bound middleweight Eumir Marcial is about to embark on a new journey. And he has found the right partner to accompany him along the way.
The 24-year-old pugilist out of Lunzuran, Zamboanga City has signed with MP Promotions to handle his career as he enters the pro ranks.
The three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist has always had interest in signing with the Manny Pacquiao-owned promotion, even with numerous international firms offering to lock him up.
“I think MP Promotions is the best promoter,” said Marcial during the June 21 episode of The Hit List presented by SMART Sports.
Marcial assured that MP Promotions has given him the leeway to focus on training for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
With MP Promotions, Marcial will be stablemates with current world champions Pedro Taduran, Johnriel Casimero at Jerwin Ancajas.
Marcial thanked the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines for the undying support it has given him and his family throughout the years.
And he plans on repaying it by getting Olympic gold or die trying.
