Elizabeth Means leads Pilipinas Aguilas to Thailand 3×3 title with perfect run

Elizabeth Means claimed her first championship representing the Philippines last weekend.

The 23-year-old naturalization candidate led the Pilipinas Aguilas to victory at the 2026 3×3 BITL, held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Means, alongside teammates Mikka Cacho, Trina Guytingco, and Camille Malagar, completed a perfect 6-0 sweep of the tournament.

Their run was capped by a thrilling 14-12 win over Singapore, bouncing back from an 11th-place finish at the 2026 Manila Hustle 3×3 earlier in February.

The Aguilas dominated pool play with victories over Thailand’s CT U20 (17-10) and Singapore (21-12). They then routed Malaysia’s Sarawak Tay Motors, 21-8, and Thailand’s Sriracha Eagle, 13-7, to secure a spot in the Final Four.

In the semifinals, they defeated Malaysia’s Selangor Est Jersey, 16-12, to advance to the championship.

Owned by Luis Dela Paz and coached by Paolo Layug, the Pilipinas Aguilas showcased resilience and teamwork en route to their impressive title run.
