ECHO stars KarlTzy, Bennyqt to miss Snapdragon Pro Series

M4 Finals MVP Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales and star jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno are set to miss ECHO’s upcoming campaign in the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 3 SEA – Challenge Finals.

ECHO announced on Saturday night that both players will take a short break to rest after playing in the MPL Philippines Season 11 and the 2023 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, respectively.

With the absence of Bennyqt and KarlTzy, three from ECHO’s MDL Team ECHO Proud will fill up the roster spots. Justine “Zaida” Palma and Jhonville Borres “Outplayed” Villar are expected to step up for KarlTzy and Benyyqt in the Snapdragon Pro Series.

Meanwhile, mainstays Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera, Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya, and Alston ”Sanji” Pabico will be tasked to lead the squad. Meanwhile, veteran roamer Jaypee Gonzales “Jaypee” Dela Cruz will complete the roster.

ECHO was pooled in Group A together with Burn X Flash (Cambodia), RSG SG (Singapore), RSG PH (Philippines), EVOS Icon (Indonesia), and Yoodoo Red Giants (Malaysia).

The Snapdragon Pro Series’ Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Season 3 Finals will take place at Studio Sepat 72 (group stage) and Istora Senayan Arena (playoffs) in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 21 -23 2023. The tournament will feature a prize pool of $150,000.

ECHO country manager, Mitch Liwanag assured fans that the absence of Bennyqt and Karltzy will only be temporary. They will be back in the World Cyber Games 2023 this July 28. (Jan Marcus Montevirgen)
