After missing three straight games due to an ankle injury, Terrence Romeo has finally returned to the fold for the San Miguel Beermen, Friday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
The six-year pro is definitely a welcome boost for the Beermen as they are still without Alex Cabagnot and then missed the services of forward Arwind Santos, no thanks to gastroenteritis.
But that wasn’t a comeback he’d like to think of any more.
Though he played a full game for the first time for SMB that led to him churning out 11 points, five boards, and four assists, his Beermen still lost to the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 98-108.
“Naga-adjust pa rin ako.”
The loss had sent San Miguel to its second straight loss, a skid that traces back to their 93-104 defeat to long-time rivals TNT KaTropa last January 27. They are now sporting a 2-3 record.
This is definitely unfamiliar territory for San Miguel. According to the league’s chief statistician Fidel Mangonon, this is the first time in five conferences that the Beermen have lost twice in a row.
But Romeo doesn’t want to talk about it.
“No comment muna.”
