Prior to the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft, the brass of the Northport Batang Pier made it known that they were looking for a good back-up for Stanley Pringle.
What they got was someone who can be his runningmate.
For the third overall pick in the 2018 PBA Draft, Northport selected 2017 Chooks-to-Go/Collegiate Press Corps Player of the Year Robert Bolick. And the product of San Beda is ready to face the challenge to turn things around for the Batang Pier.
For sure, yung players diyan, tutulangan din ako,” shared Bolick.
Bolick is not just known for his floor generalship, as he is also a lethal scorer. But this time around, the 6-foot combo guard is willing to take a step back and learn from Stanley Pringle – an elite-level guard.
Hopefully, magkaayos kaming dalawa. Sa akin team player ako, scorer siya. Ako, hahanapin ko teammates ko at gusto ko lang ipakita sa kanila na winner ako,” the 21-year-old added.
Besides this, Bolick can’t wait to be under the tutelage of Pido Jarencio. And based on their first encounter, it looks to be a fun partnership.
Magje-jel kami,” quipped Bolick.
Coming from a winning program, Bolick vows that he will bring it with him to his new team.
