The Terrence Romeo versus TNT Katropa showdown might not be happening this conference.
According to San Miguel head coach Leo Austria, the three-time scoring champion – who arrived to San Miguel from TNT last month – is expected to miss the Beermen’s next two games.
“Terrence, we don’t know yet dahil we don’t want to aggravate his injury,” the decorated head coach disclosed.
“I think he will miss two more games siguro.”
Last Friday, Romeo accidentally stepped on the foot of Rashawn McCarthy during the third canto of San Miguel’s game against the Columbian Dyip. He did not return to the game.
This week, San Miguel face the Meralco Bolts on Friday and TNT on Sunday.
Given this, he will most likely not meet the team that traded for him just last April.
Tomeo is still in some pain, but assures he will try to recover faster for San Miguel, who own a 1-1 slate in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.
“Alam naman ni coach eh, susunod lang ako kung ano gusto nila,” added Romeo after San Miguel’s 99-91 win over Ginebra.
“Susubukan ko lang na mas mapabilis para makatulong ako sa team.”
