Domeng calm and confident ahead of M-Series debut

By: Jan Marcus Montevirgen

As Aurora’s Jan “Domeng” Delmundo prepares for his debut in the prestigious M-series tournament at the upcoming M6 World Championship in Malaysia, excitement is building for the 17-year-old gold laner.

The opportunity to compete on this stage has been a dream for Domeng ever since he began his MLBB professional career in Season 11.

That dream became a reality when Aurora achieved a stunning victory against the reigning world champions, Falcons AP.Bren, with a 4-2 win in the lower-bracket finals of MPL Philippines Season 14 on October 19.

For Domeng, the upcoming tournament marks a significant milestone in his career. What was once a dream—competing against the world’s best players during scrimmages—will soon happen on the grandest stage.

“Syempre masaya tapos sobrang excited kasi yung mga nakakalaban ko lang noon sa scrims ay makakalaban ko na sa international stage,” Domeng shared in an exclusive interview with Tiebreaker Times.

Though this will be his first M-series appearance, Domeng exudes confidence, thanks to the strength and determination of his teammates, which helps him feel assured no matter what comes his way.

“Wala akong kabang nararamdaman. Siguro dala na rin ng mga kakampi ko kaya hindi ako kinakabahan kahit first M-series ko. Kasi parang yung angas nila, sinasabayan ko na lang din,” he said.

Domeng’s confidence also stems from the unwavering support he receives from his coaching staff and the entire Aurora organization, which has shaped him into the player he is today.

“Malaking tulong sila kasi sila yung nagbo-boost ng confidence ko para mas lalo akong mag-perform ng maayos,” he concluded.
