The Junior Archers bounced back from their Round of 32 loss to the Batangas Mustangs on Monday, overwhelming Gladiators Germany 108-31.
UAAP Season 88 Elite Team member Maco Dabao led DLSZ with 21 points, five rebounds, and four steals.
Meanwhile, Henry Suico and reigning CESAFI champions Magis Eagles cruised past Canada’s Hoops Nation, 107-66.
Global Hoops champion Top Flight also dominated, routing Batang Europa Scandinavia 99-48, highlighted by a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double from 6-foot-7 Marcus Tyler and the 20 points of Robyn Florendo.
Davao regional champion RSY Group of Companies narrowly escaped BBA Australia, 63-58, with Duke Solon contributing 21 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
In the Round of 16 for Division 2, DLSZ will face the Malayan Red Robins, SHS will take on the San Beda Red Cubs, Top Flight will square off against AG Laguna, and RSY will battle Eastern Samar’s Oasis Ballers.
Other Division 2 games on Wednesday in this tournament, supported by Smart Sports, SM Mall of Asia Arena, Molten, Pocari Sweat, Omni, Gameville, Playtime Entertainment, G2G All Spice, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Buffalo’s Wings N Things, The Lighthouse Group, Swish, and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, include: Pasig City’s For the Win versus Australia’s MIC Aus Scope Med; Crossover Canada versus Bayanihan UK; Tumakbo USA versus Marlins Bulacan; and Cebu’s Playtown versus New Zealand’s Camp David.
