Dlar grateful to Baloskie for controlling him during heated ONIC-Echo game

ONIC PH figured in a heated encounter against ECHO on Friday night.

The M3 World Championship silver medalists, after leading by as much as 8K in the gold department in Game One, failed to close out the opener – allowing ECHO to come back through a massive team performance led by Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales’s Phoveus.

With the series heading to a fever pitch, both squads can be heard talking trash to one another through the live broadcast.

Good thing for ONIC PH, though, team captain Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy was there to steady the ship.

“Kino-control ko talaga yung emotions ko kasi sa end game talaga sobrang trashtalker ko,” revealed Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera after ONIC PH’s reverse 2-1 sweep of ECHO.

Dlarskie played a pivotal part in ONIC PH’s massive Game Three comeback.

With ECHO looking to close things up through a top lane siege, the exp laner out of Malabon soaked all of the damage and used his Uranus to deny ECHO a shot at the base. This set up a huge play from Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol’s Helcurt, who hit three heroes with his Deadly Poison Stinger.

ONIC PH completed a four-man wipe to deal ECHO its first loss of the season.

After being restrained by Baloyskie all throughout the match, Dlarskie had the last laugh as he finally had the chance to talk trash against ECHO seconds after the win. In fact, even the ONIC PH skipper joined the post-game exchange, uttering a few words towards the ECHO bench.

But despite the war of words, Dlarskie and Baloyskie showed respect towards the top-ranked squad after the heated exchange with the former even revealing that this was his favorite game during his six-season stay in the league.

GGWP great series,” posted Baloyskie on his Facebook account.

Indeed, the highest form of sportsmanship and skills were in full display during the series.
