UAAP Men’s Basketball: UST vs La Salle on Sept. 27 at Araneta, Ateneo vs La Salle on Oct. 5 at MOA Arena


The UAAP basketball tournaments will return to the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 27, headlined by host University of Santo Tomas facing De La Salle University.

The women’s competition will also take center stage that day, with NU, under debuting coach DA Olan, starting its bid for a second straight championship against FEU at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, UST begins its redemption campaign against De La Salle at 7:00 PM.

Men’s action at the Big Dome features FEU taking on NU at 2:00 PM, followed by UST versus La Salle at 4:30 PM.

Meanwhile, the first Ateneo–La Salle men’s rivalry of the season will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on October 5, following the FEU–Adamson duel at 1:30 p.m. with the Blue Eagles and Green Archers meeting at 4:30 p.m., tickets sold separately.

The tournament officially opens on September 20 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion Arena (QPav). Last season’s runner-up De La Salle University faces Adamson University at 4:30 PM, following the FEU–Ateneo matchup at 2:00 PM.

The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons will kick off their title defense campaign against University of Santo Tomas on September 21 at 4:30 PM, marking their first meeting since last season’s Final Four.

Other men’s games on September 21 include University of the East, now under new coach Chris Gavina, facing National University at 1:00 PM, with tickets for the doubleheader sold separately.

The junior high school boys’ competitions also begin at QPav on September 20 and 21.

The Baby Tamaraws take on the Blue Eagles at 8:30 AM on September 20, followed by Baby Falcons versus Junior Archers at 10:30 AM.

On September 21, the Tiger Cubs defend their home court against the Fighting Maroons at 8:30 AM, followed by the Junior Warriors aiming for back-to-back 16-and-under titles against the Bullpups at 10:30 AM.

Women’s basketball begins on September 24 at QPav to accommodate Gilas Women’s participation in the FIBA 3×3 Under-23 World Cup, with Ateneo facing UE at 12 noon and UP taking on Adamson at 7 p.m.

Finally, UP and De La Salle will meet in a rematch of the last two men’s championship series at the Big Dome on October 19 at 4:30 PM, following the UE–FEU game at 1:30 PM, with tickets for the doubleheader sold separately.

The first round will close with a women’s quadruple-header at MoA Arena featuring FEU–Ateneo at 8:00 AM, Adamson–DLSU at 10:00 AM, UE–NU at 1:00 PM, and UP–UST at 2:00 PM.
