Des Cheng suffers ACL tear

Choco Mucho announced that Des Cheng suffered an ACL tear on her right knee, Saturday night.

Cheng landed awkwardly following a spike in the second set of the Flying Titans’ 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 win over Cignal last Thursday in the Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

“Last Thursday Oct 26, Des suffered an injury on her right knee during the PVL game against Cignal. After careful review of her MRI results, our doctors have diagnosed that it is an ACL tear that will require surgery and rehabilitation,” said Choco Mucho in a statement.

“Management will ensure that Des is given the best possible treatment and medical care to get her back in fighting form,” the statement continued.2022-PVL-Choco-Mucho-vs-Army-Denden-Revilla-Des-Cheng Des Cheng suffers ACL tear News PVL Volleyball - philippine sports news

The Flying Titans are currently tied with PLDT, Chery Tiggo, and F2 Logistics at the fourth spot with identical 2-1 standings.

“The team is saddened over this development, but is hopeful for her safe return. Thank you to everyone for your concern and keeping her in your prayers.”

Choco Mucho is set to take on Galeries Tower next on Thursday, 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
