Dalph Panopio released by Suwon KT

With less than a month before the international basketball season begins, Dalph Panopio finds himself without a team.

The 6-foot-1 Filipino-Italian guard was released by Suwon KT on Tuesday morning.

Multiple sources closely monitoring the situation confirmed the development to Tiebreaker Times.

According to these sources, Panopio’s release was due to a back injury he sustained, which ultimately led to his removal from the roster.

Panopio, 24, had only joined the Sonicboom on June 17. He replaced Dave Ildefonso.

His signing had sparked interest due to his impressive resume, including his time playing college basketball at Division I school CSU Bakersfield.

During the off-season, several UAAP schools had expressed interest in acquiring Panopio for a one-and-done campaign.

However, the young guard decided that pursuing a professional career was the best path for him.
