Saint Benilde’s top hitter Klarisa Abriam has decided that she will turn pro.
Cignal announced that it had signed the 5-foot-8 spiker out of Pampanga for the 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
For Abriam, she feels grateful for the hard-to-resist opportunity given to her by the HD Spikers.
“Super happy po ako na binigyan ako ng opportunity ng Cignal makapaglaro sa team nila and thankful po,” the 23-year-old said.
Abriam had a stellar fourth-year campaign with the Lady Blazers last year.
Abriam is coming off a PVL Collegiate Conference campaign that saw her bag the Best Opposite Hitter award. She was also a pivotal piece in CSB’s NCAA Season 95 campaign that saw them blitz to a 7-0 slate.
However, the tournament was cut short by the ongoing pandemic.
Abriam, who was part of F2 Logistics during the 2019 PSL Grand Prix, decided to focus on her studies. She will graduate with a degree this July.
Come the PVL, she is hoping to regain her form and help the HD Spikers reach the pinnacle of Philippine volleyball.
“Goal ko po is makapag contribute sa team kaagad inside and outside the court, and ma-achieve namin ‘yung goals as a team.”
