Converge continues to beef up its backend in its maiden campaign in the Philippine Basketball Association.
The FiberXers brought Pampanga governor Delta Pineda in to be their team manager.
Pineda is the ofunder of th Pineda Basketball Training Camp which discovered the likes of Arwind Santos, Calvin Abueva, and Justine Baltazar.
He is also a multi-time champion coach in the National Basketball League-Pilipinas.
Assisting him will be current Ateneo guard Jacob Lao.
“A basketball player himself, having played in the high school team of La Salle and Ateneo Team A in college, Jacob at an even younger age of 22 brings to the FiberXers’ quest for PBA Championships the elements of youth, dynamism and managerial skills on top of his equally passionate love for basketball,” read the statement of Converge team governor Atty. Chito Salud.
The two will assume their positions at the start of the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup.
